Top 3 Tarot Decks
  • The Rider-Watie-Smith Tarot Deck https://amzn.to/3NJ0wyH
    • This is my favorite deck and what I use most often in my professional readings. A true classic. Although usually just called the Rider or Rider-Waite, this deck was illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith. She was a revolutionary illustrator and mystic.
  • The Modern Witch Tarot Deck https://amzn.to/3x3jFFZ
    • The Amazon description says it best: "The strength of traditional Tarot symbols combine with diverse bodies, up-to-the-minute fashion, and the strength and power of twenty-first-century witchcraft, where we make our own magic." I love seeing the focus on inclusivity in the Tarot community that has been blossoming in recent years. Not to mention- it is an excellent deck!
  • Mystic Mondays Tarot: A Deck for the Modern Mystic https://amzn.to/3GIgZ3R
    • Although not my favorite, it is a favorite among many of my students and clients. The modern interpretation is so fresh and fun. It is the go-to deck for many Gen Z readers.

Top 3 Tarot Books
  • Ultimate Guide to Divination by Liz Dean https://amzn.to/3GMoogQ
    • This book has a phenomenal section on Tarot. It covers other forms of divination in a way that is comprehensive but also very friendly for the reader. It is a great general resource that I find students succeed with.
  • Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom by Rachel Pollack https://amzn.to/3z4WVXH
    • This is the only book I recommend to experienced professionals and newbies alike. You would be hard-pressed to find a reader who hasn't been touched by the prolific work of Rachel Pollack. This Tarot book has a permanent home on my bedside table.
  • Kitchen Table Tarot by Melissa Cynova https://amzn.to/3m1J9gQ
    • The style of this book is so casual and entertaining! It really feels like you're sitting down with Melissa at her kitchen table and talking Tarot. The language might sometimes be crass, but the advice is always solid and no-nonsense.
