7. SPECIAL VINTAGE CUSTOMS CLASS:  (Non NAN Qualifying).  Open to any vintage models that fit the definition of the Open Customized category above.  This is a special class for older models made prior to the year of 1995 that may be, or may not be LSQ anymore due to age.  Entry is unlimited, so bring any and all of your old sentimental favorites out of the closet and drawers to be seen again!!!   There will be two seperate categories for these models.  Cateory A - will be vintage models dating from 1960 to 1979.  Category B - will be vintage models dating from 1980 to 1995.  A table will be set aside for the entries to be displayed upon throughout the entire show day.  It's not necessary, but if you know some history about your vintage customs be sure and bring a notecard describing the year it was made, the artist, and any other details pertaining to the piece. Awards will be based on a "people's choice" criteria.  Sarah Minkiwicz-Bruenig has graciously agreed to donate some special medallion awards for this class!

Eligibility
~Any custom piece completed during the respective time frame is eligible for that class. However, if the year of a piece’s creation is unknown, a “best guess” will suffice.
~The piece may be in any condition, whether mint or damaged, and should be as close to the original state/intent as possible.
~Proxy showing will be allowed.  $2 per horse.

Basics
~The classes can be combined as needed, due to lack of entries.
~The classes are to be judged by People's Choice, with voting to occur during a time period at the host's discretion during the show.
~The show host will designate a vote tallier/comment reader to place and present the awards.
~It’s encouraged that a description of the piece’s history be provided alongside the entry. Please keep this summation concise, as to fit on one side of a sheet of paper (maximum) and preferably on one side of a 3x5 card.

Voting
~People shall use their own criteria for voting, keeping in mind the context and goal of the vintage classes. For example, such criteria can be "coolness", inspiration, nostalgia, rarity, innovation, historic value, etc.
~Provided for each class are special slips of paper, with room to write a few comments. Each slip of paper is a "vote" and each voter is given two slips of paper per class. In each class, the voter can allot his/her slips at discretion, i.e. use all slips on one piece or one-four slips per piece (in essence giving all votes to one piece or doling them out as desired). The voter is asked to write some quick comments about the piece he/she is voting for and pop the slip(s) of paper into the respective can.
~Provided for each class are cans, to be placed beside each piece in the class. Into each can, the voter will place his/her voting slip for that piece.
~At the end of voting, the tallier shall count the votes per piece and place the awards. The tallier shall choose selected commentary from the slips about each piece and read them aloud as the awards are presented.
~In the case of a tie, the show host’s choice shall be the tiebreaker.

Awards
~Provided to the show host, each class shall have a set of exclusive blank resin medallions created specifically for this purpose. Placings 1st-2rd receive the large medallion and placings 3th-5th receive the smaller medallion courtesy of superior sculpting artist and fellow model hobbyist Sarah Minkiwicz-Bruenig. =:)
